On wednesday night I ran the Dirt Cheap Trail Race in Webster Park. I ran the 5ish miles in 53:52 which didn’t feel particularly fast.
Last year’s race on this course was a muddy mess, but either changes to the course or improved weather made the trail much nicer this year. Still the course was largely consisted of highly technical single track trails which made it difficult to find a steady pace. My run didn’t feel slow as much as it felt inconsistent.
My next race will once again be on the trails as I return to Mendon Ponds to run in next tuesday’s Run Our Trails race.
