On tuesday night I ran the first Run Our Trails race of the year in Mendon Ponds Park. I completed the 3ish mile loop in 35:23 which was a bit slower than I had hoped for and mostly a reflection of not being fully recovered from the racing on sunday.
Mendon Ponds is always very hilly, but the course of this race was even tougher than most. My legs were very much feeling it on both the up hills and the down hills with not enough smooth trail to get into a good grove.
My next race (and third in the same week) will be the Grand Island Half Marathon on saturday.
