On Thanksgiving morning I ran the Buffalo Turkey Trot for the 14th time. I finished in 42:56 which is a bit slower than the past few years but with the worst weather conditions since 2018.

The start of the race was crowded as it is every year, with it difficult to get going in the first mile. It was more difficult than usual to get around people as the edges of the street were covered in snow and ice. However, the main road was clear and once I found some space I settled into a steady pace. The wind gusts were more intense than usual but mostly came from the side rather than as a headwind.

My next race is the It’s a Wonderful Run 5k this December in Seneca Falls.
